Memory Seats Befuddled

I sat in a 2011 F450 KR, and the memory seats retracted the seat all the way back when the key was turned off, and then returned to normal position when key was turned on.

My 2011 Lariat with memory seats doesn't do this, and I can't find anything in manual or in display to turn on or off this feature.

Is this a KR only deal? I feel a little cheated.

If you have the LCD screen, it is a menu item. P.S. I have a Lariat...

I have a 2011 Lariat and mine does this. Like Marauder said, it's in the settings menu on the LCD screen. I think it's called "Easy Exit" or something like that.

They never make this easy, do they...

Easy-access/easy-out feature (if equipped)
The easy entry feature automatically moves the driver’s seat 2 inches
(5 cm) forward when:
• the transmission is in P (Park)
• the key is inserted into the ignition cylinder
(If the seat is located less than 2 inches [5 cm] from the front of the seat
track, the seat will travel up to 1⁄4 inch (6 mm) to the front of the seat
track).
The easy out feature automatically moves the driver’s seat 2 inches
(5 cm) backward when:
• the transmission is in P (Park)
• the key is removed from the ignition cylinder
(If the seat is located less than 2 inches (5 cm) from the rear of the seat
track, the seat will travel up to 1⁄4 inch (6 mm) to the rear of the seat
track).
If the memory setting is programmed through the remote transmitter,
upon unlocking the door via remote entry system, the seat position will
travel to the desired memory setting less 2 inches (5 cm). Once entering
the vehicle and inserting the key in the ignition while in P (Park), the
easy entry feature will move the seat an additional 2 inches (5 cm) to
the desired memory location. See Locks and Security for activating the
memory seat feature through the remote entry system.
Deactivating/activating the easy access/easy out feature
The easy entry/exit feature can be turned off or on through the vehicle
message center (if equipped). If your vehicle does not have a message
center, the feature can be turned off or on through the following process:
1. Put the key into the ignition (The driver seat may move forward if the
easy entry/exit feature is activated).
2. Place the ignition key into the on position (do not start the vehicle).
When the vehicle is in the on position, the interior and exterior lights,
the climate controls, and the radio are functional without the engine
started. See Programming remote transmitters for ignition switch
diagram.
3. Turn the ignition key to the off position
4. Cycle the ignition key between the off position and the on position a
total of three times ending with the ignition in the off position.
5. Engage the forward or rearward seat switch.
6. Remove the ignition key from the ignition switch. (The driver seat
may move rearward if the easy entry/exit feature is activated).
Steps 2 through 6 must be performed within a 20 second period. The
easy entry/exit feature will be deactivated. Repeating the above process
will also reactivate the easy entry/exit feature.

Is it under truck apps?
I don't see it, I guess I need remedial reading.

Should be under settings. What is interesting is that I can't find it in the message center sections of the manual for the LCD message center. The information I provided came from the memory seat section of the manual.

I'm interested in this now.... I wasn't aware we had this either. I just went out and checked every option in the LCD screen and it's definitely not there for me. Was this a job 2 add?

Interesting... I looked at the manual at

http://www.motorcraftservice.com/pub.../11f23og4e.pdf

The menu option that I have does not show up in the manual. I bought my truck late Spring of 2011. I definitely have this option on mine.

seat programming

I just got a 2011 Platinum and as I try to memory program the key to seat settings, etc., I cant find the buttons the manual refers to on pages 147 and 148 as seat 1 and seat 2. I assumed they were on the door but they must be somewhere else. Is it in the center screen on the dash above the steering wheel, or in the Nav unit section?

Thanks

I checked every menu in the LCD twice, my Lariat does not have the easy entry/exit option.
Build date 3/2010.
