Yeah, sometimes it amazes me what the gubment spends our money on. Oh who am I kidding? It always amazes me. LOL

I recon the folks whose houses get saved think firefighting equipment are a pretty good investment.

I think firefighting equipment is awesome. However, there is also something called overkill, and using a 747 to fight fires is overkill in my book. Of course, nobody asked me before they approved it, so it is too late now.

If the county of San Diego would fund it's own County Fire Department
I think Cal Fire owes the Mount San Miguel Fire district several million dollars, they canceled their contract and reopened their own fire stations.
