I am not very experienced as a mechanic but i like to learn. anyway i replaced the camshaft because a couple lobes where messed up and i was bending pushrods in my 77 f-150 with the 400m. and now that everything is back together i tried to start it i can hear the starter engage but it wont turnover. I checked battery conections and everything is good and voltage reads 12.6 volts on my multimeter and the starter is less than a year old. so any one got any ideas your feedback would be great thanks

Read the batt. voltage while you turn the key and see if it drops. Sounds like a bad connection to me. Read the voltage at the starter while you turn it over and also at the relay. Maybe the ground wire on the block to frame. Can you turn the engine over with a socket on the harmonic balancer bolt with the spark plugs removed?
