Well, the weatherman blew it again - its raining and has been since I got up this morning. Nice thing is, its one of those slow steady rains with no lightening.
It's been raining here all morning as Carlene mentioned.
It is our rainy season - so the rain is good.
It's light rain - we ARE having some lightning though.
It sure beats forest fires and the smoke!
We are lucky our sandy soil makes the rain disappear
pretty quick. It's not uncommon for 2-3" of rain PER
HOUR to occur.
Many of the "lakes" have plugs that the City can
pull to allow water directly into the acquifer if a
hurricane were to come this way to minimize flooding.
I used to live near Wayne, NJ. NOTHING like what
happens up there occurs in FL! no matter HOW much
rain we'll get.

I'm not that far from Wayne, and I'm only a 1000' from the Rockaway river, but plenty high above to never have to worry, except maybe some localized street flooding.
Sun's a shining today and man is it steaming hot. YUCK.
How am I today.........Work is kicking my **** this week. Bosses decided to take another week + vacation the same week our only other estimator/project manager went on vacation. I love having the whole office to myself but hate turning away work & fielding calls from demanding job super's.
Another hot sunny day, with chances of afternoon thunderstorms, of course.
So what does everyone have planned for this hot weekend?
We have take out the garden and prepare the ground to get ready for fall planting in about a month. Fun, fun, fun.
