No? That's no good.

We tried to get some in, but the launch at the campground was an inch deep 50 feet out. Pure sand from the rivers. The launch is placed right where the Platte River flowed into the Mississippi, and it just dumps sand right there I guess. Oh well...

we go out on a man made lake that has been around hundreds of years, we have on occasion had low water levels due to lack of rain and incompetent water commission people who didn't time the release of the water at the proper time the year before and didn't close it in time for the refill before it was too late.

every seven years they lower the lake so homeowners and marinas can repair docks and bulkheads during the winter months, but the state had a project that got behind schedule (surprise) and impacted the whole economy on the lake that season, needless to say the lack of rain after the normal rainy season caused the lake to be below levels for safe boating until late July, and they lost a huge annual boat race that brought millions to the area for a weekend. Needless to say there was a very costly investigation that developed into a complete waste of tax money and the scapegoats got fired and business as usual, except the boat races are held somewhere else now.

Oh wow, that's no good. It's funny how quickly bureaucracy can kill something good. Oh, and waste a ton of money...

They didn't shut it down until it was too late, that year we had water restrictions, couldn't water the lawns, gardens, or wash your truck in the driveway.

Got my lawn mowed. It wasn't bad but parts really needed it. Had to put the sprinkler on for the first time this year.
