Pretty good for me, I installed an Edelbrock 4V intake on the 79. Damn carb was giving me fits though, I went to remove the throttle shafts and broke the screws holding the throttle plates on the secondaries..... It sucked having to drill out those little buggers.
Bummer about the carb bud! Welding went great, that is a blast! I'm going to do a lot of practicing here in the next few weeks, to make sure I have it down, before I start on the cab of the truck.
Hello MT folks, been busy, but have exciting news. My Wife drove the "new" 78 F150 home to Great Falls from Spokane where I bought it and not only did it make it, it got way better than the 4mpg we expected! On the less positive side, the entire dash lost power half way home and all the gauges quit so she was without fuel levels, speedo, dash lights, everything. I think the Odometer only rolled 150 miles, which is a bit out of tolerance for a 260 mile trip too. I've made up my mind. 1st week back in Montana I'm installing a Dakota Digital Instrument cluster. Now to just survive the last few weeks in this hole...
