I was up to Smith Grove, south of Sanger Boat Landing, two weeks ago and the water was still up around the trees. I'm curious to know if the water came up on the Knife River in Stanton enough to over-take some of the larger trees there, as well. I've been told the second largest tree in the state is in the park on the east side of town. The tree is huge, but I don't know if it is actually rated #2 in the state for size.
