I went over all the bolts with a wrench, some of them were a bit loose. It seemed to help a bit. I plan to drive the truck around today to pick up some lumber. I'll recheck the bolts after I drive around for a bit.
I decided to clean the truck up a bit today. Vacuumed it out and wiped down eerything with some soapy water. I'll need to wipe it all down with plain water here later to wash off all the soap. I like to do that as it makes everything smell nice and fresh plus also with the bed lined interior its harder to clean. So I do this order, vacuum, soapy water, water, once it dries then hit it with stiff brush and re-vacuum. Should look brand new then.

I think thats what happened to me.. the gasket started to leak when it got warm 180*.. i think if i still had that 192 t-stat.. that rtv would have been gone lol

Thanks 1 ton, i try to pretty it up a little. the colors clash a little with the valve covers but i will get that delt with eventually. I also need to get new valve covers and seals, then i need to get my rear main fixed.. Lots of work but in the end i will be happy.
Brett, when i worked at the GMC delaership we had a Pontiac come in that the customer tried to fix a rear main on his own. He used the GM version of RTV (i forget the name) and when he pushed the tranny back in it pushed a ton of RTV into the oil. Then when he fired up the engine to drive it, the RTV got stuck on the bottom of the oil pickup tube and the motor was toast.
