Thumbs down Michael Moore...

...god I'd love to beat this guy with a Nerf bat. I can't stand people who believe that (A) being an actor (B) being a musician or (C) a low-budget movie producer gives you some sort of heightened understanding of politics. These people are trained monkeys - they perform for US. They're not there to think. They're not there to spread political messages. They entertain us. It's not that I think they should have NO political standpoints - differing opinions are what makes this country great - but using EVERY SECOND of airtime to broadcast various political agendas is a waste of time. It's also an abuse of power, so to speak - having the ability to get on the news/TV demands a certain measure of responsibility, but they just can't wait to spout off some political nonsense. Example: Michael Moore. Makes one (albeit very bad - I bootlegged it from Kazaa) movie, and suddenly he's at the Oscars, lambasting President Bush. Nice try, fatman. Go home. Also, Janeane Garafolo and Tim Robbins - both on Bill Mahr's show, both not very good actors/artists, and both unable to answer any questions. Any question directed at them results in a political rant. Once again, abuse of power, and a waste of time.

Sorry about the rant, but I'm getting awfully tired of this garbage.

I agree they are trained monkeys but who is interested in the nonsense that he produces? He isn't making any money off me.

Michael Moore...

I saw his movie, "Roger an Me" a while ago. I thought it was interesting but that is as far as that goes. Personally, I think he should walk a plank out into the pacific covered with bloody steaks. People like this should just be deported.

True, but he is also the flavor of the moment, so he suddenly has a certain measure of credibility among the mainstream. Apparently, he's the first independent film maker to win an Oscar on his first try. Now his ego has been boosted a bit and his notoriety has given him the capability to become some kind of political powerhouse. Granted, once he chokes and disappears we'll no longer have to listen to him, but for the moment he's got carte blanche to be a PITA.

Michael Moore...

I think MM is a big blowhard that was un-popular as a kid, so he decided to just disagree with any idea that was 'generally accepted'. He now thinks its cool that his 'in your face' stuff has earned an Oscar, so therefore he's cool. NOT. He believes that people in the industry like him. I don't think so..... They are using him and his work as a tool. When I was in high school, there was a group that decided to get the dumbest kid elected as student body prez. They were successful, and it was a punch in the eye to the principal, etc. That is what Hollywood is doing with MM. He's done. Nothing else he does will ever be looked at. His original 'Roger and Me' was do disconnected that it made no sense to me. I won't spend the money to see 'Bowling', but have heard that the 'get a gun in an hour' for opening a bank account was faked. It takes 7-10 days after you open the account, and all that was done beforehand, just to make the move 'work'.
You can only fool some of the people some of the time. Falsehoods will come back to bite you. It sure is a lot easier to tell the truth, as you don't have to remember what you said... MM, look out as your words and actions will come back on you...
Opinion rant off.
Opinion rant back on.
Bill Maher was funny. Once. Then he got to preaching. His show was dynamic and he had people really discussing interesting topics. Plus he had some foxy looking. .. His show went to h*ll, and got to 'it's all about sex'... standing up for the former president WJC. That's all he could apparently do after a while, and he got stupid as he got more money. "I bought a electric car..." but he's too ignorant to realize that when he charges his batteries, the juice comes from somewhere, along with the loss in efficiency from energy conversion and transport losses. He just exported the pollution to somewhere else, and made more of it. Not to mention the pollution to mine the ore and refine the metals in the batteries... and they have to be replaced after 3-4 years... But, he's ecologically correct. But stupid and short sighted.
OK rant off again now.

Michael Moore...

Flavor of the month,I like that.

Michael Moore makes his own gravy on warm days.

Hollywood is constantly dreaming up ways where they can show off their limos and diamonds while patting themselves on the hiney and awarding things to themselves.

If you want to see real awards, let the Internet vote on some of these weirdos including the King of Weird, Michael Jackson.

They have one 'thing' on with Matt L. in the morning telling us all about the latest fashions, I'm still trying to figure out what sex it is. Anyone know what/who I'm talking about? Is this the results of mainstreaming the certifiables we were warned about?

I had a woman come into work yesterday looking for bowling for colenbine, and we told her its not going to be out until december..

She goes of on this diatribe that the best i could make out was that a) our **** facist government doesnt want the american people to put 2 and 2 together to get 4 (said about 6 times) B) This movie explained her philosophy perfectly C) she was in the military..

She tops if off with a **** Salute in the middle of the store and walks out..

I don't know whether to be upset or laugh..
