1728 Code

I was driving to NY from NJ. During the way up my overdrive light was blinking. It happened during the heat wave we had. On the way back once I was doing about 60 it started again. I got it checked at AAMCO and the Code it was giving was 1728 Code. They told me that I should just get the Transmission Rebuilt and that was my only option. Has anyone else had this problem? what did you do? My truck has 146000 is it worth having rebuilt or should I just change the TCC.

Of course they did. After all, the first letters of ALl Automatics Must Come Out spell the company name.

Take it to an independent shop and get a second opinion.
