Have any of you recently purchased a windshield for a '57 to '60 pickup, and if so what brand did you find?
I had a windshield installed at a local glass vendor with the brand name of "AGP" and it did not fit well at all. Large gaps at top corners . I then had a body shop order a windshield for me in hopes that it would be a different brand and got another AGP and it fits a little better, but not at all acceptable. The truck shows no sign of body damage in this area. I hope there are other brands out there somewhere.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I cut the old windshield out myself in order to be sure that some "kid" at the glass shop didn't damage my stainless trim.
I don't remember any "stuff" in the rubber that might have been used to fill gaps.

I got my new windshield for my '59 from Tulare Auto Glass (559)686-5549. They're open M-F 8-5 PST. The brand they carry is called LOF and it sells for $ 295, but that's the "installed" price.
I asked if they ship, and the lady said they could drop ship it. If that doesn't work for you, I still have my old windshield. It's not too bad. If you're interested, send me a private message, let me know and I'll shoot you some pix.

Thanks, and I will let you know.
The latest from the current vendor, is a request for us to remove the windshield, tape the edges, and hold it in the opening without the rubber to check "the fit". We hope to be able to do that on Wed of this week if all schedules work out.

Randy I don't know if I am any help but their should not be any gaps around your window. I used a good take off (fomoco) from a junk yard on mine it fit like a glove new gasket with no sealer.
