Hey Guys, I'm new to the forum and diesel trucks. I have been looking at the 6.9 diesels for my winter vehicle and have a question. I go to college out towards Boston and the truck would be sitting in the winter time at length. My question really would be: How can I insure a good start every time after it has been sitting for a couples days? I am new to diesels so any information about this or diesels in general would be greatly appreciated.

A good fuel system on these old engines is essential, because its all mechanically operated it doesn't require a computer or any of those things. Just those two things and you should have yourself a vehicle that will start right up and be nice and reliable fer all your driving needs, gets better Fuel Economy than some new vehicles, if you drive it careful.
