It alive again

Ok i got the tranny installed and everything is running again. I have one question. Since i had the battery, and the wireing from the tranny unhooked for 3 weeks does the computer have to re learn how to run? I took it out for the first drive sat night. It cruised at speed fine but when excelerating i had a very noticable miss in the motor. You could hear it through the exhaust dying. It sounded like it was running out of gas. Also it used an extream amount of gas in the very short trip i took. I didn't drive it today because the positive battery terminal is bad, it basically fell apart when i tryed to tighten it down. I thought it ran fine before but maybe the tranny sliping hid the problem.

it was prolly just losing power from the bad cable end.

I hope so it just frustrating to spend that much money on something get it back running and have another problem.

I know what you mean, I have the better part of 6 months trying to find the reason my 351 is running rough at idle, I have a very small leak at the PCV vavle, but I need a new hoses for it. so I know that is causing problems. But I had my TPS go out and a reputable shop told me it was the IAC, 85 bucks later my idle was still at 1400 rpms, burnt up 2 sets of brake pads in a month. Took it back to the shop and he tested it for free this time, and came back with the TPS, so I tell everyone to test the TPS b4 the IAC, 9 times out of ten it will be the TPS.
