Haven't posted in the section before, but now that we've got problems it's time to ask for help.
My buddy has a 91 F250 running an I6 that has a slow turn over and NO spark, no matter we have tried or tested. I'll let everyone thro out ideas and not mention what has been done yet incase i step was missed or there is a better way of doing things. I will say the most no brainer stuff hasn't fixed it yet.
We would really like to get it running, because we'd rather not do the next build (75 F250 hignboy frame down under a 91 F250 frame up: poly bushing the space between the frames, total object of lift height 22inches) before it runs. That way all mods are done and tested as we go.
I'd start by seeing if you have power going into the coil and coming out of the coil. At least then you can eliminate everything before or after the coil.
List what you've checked...
Slow turn over doesn't always equal no spark... they are probably unrelated issues. How's the starter and battery?
Thanks for the help, Aaron's conclusion: trade a dirt bike for an entire truck for donor 351M and tranny. I will be posting as much info about his frame over frame 75/79/91 monster build. New thread soon.
