Prothane Motion Control

I just recently bought new Prothane Motion Control rear spring bushings for my '76 Highboy. The bushings are wider than my springs and the shackle opening. I ordered kit # 6-1003. This is what Prothane listed on their website. Has anybody else had this problem? Should I just modify them to fit?

Thanks

Some had 3" leaves, some had 2-1/2 inch leaves. I think eyes and bushings and bolts were same diameters so I'ld shorten them 1/2" if that was all. Measure first though. Probably cheaper to stock just longer ones and let you custom cut?
