I must say that it is easy to do it yourself.... I get out my creeper and get to work without having to lift the truck.. I look around as well to be sure everything is just as it should be.. functional!

I could change my Durango without getting oil all over me. I had a Fumoto Drain Valve on it. I need to get one for my Excursion.

I go and grease all the zerks, give all the joints in the front end a slop inspection, check the brake pads all around for thickness, spin all the wheels to check for sticky calipers, check the rotors for hot spots or flaking, inspect U-joints for slop, inspect springs for cracks or broken leafs, inspect brake and fuel lines for leaks or bad rust areas, inspect fuel tanks for leaks, inspect seals at front and rear of motor, trans, and rear end for leaks, check tire pressures, check bushings for deterioration and cracking, look over the bottom of the radiator and other coolers for signs of leaks, and finally reinstall drain plug and wipe up extra oil and wipe it all over the rust on the oil pan to stop it.

I fill the oil filter with fresh oil, listen to the radio in the garage...drink a brew...nothing very productive...unless it is the third oil change. I will change the fuel filter...other than that I am a glorified space heater.
