I was looking at both of my two tech books and they have different torque sequences for the intake/exhaust combo manifold . Which one is correct , I bought both because the chiltons has some vaccume diagrams that the Haynes does'nt have ! I looked for other differences but the head torque sequence is the same for both of the books, that is all I looked for

I didnt mention that this was for the 240/300 I6 engines. The sequence is the same in both of the haynes manual s ( 1973-79 and the 1980- 1996?) The only difference is in the chilton's which covers 1976-1986..I really want to get this right the first time although I have used the haynes on other 300's , now that I also have the chiltons I wonder which is correct !

As long as it's a center out, alternating top and bottom, configuration in either, they should both work.
I found out the other day that Haynes publishes the Chilton's. Opened up the cover and wallah! Had Haynes all over it. I figure they should be on the same page, but that's one hand not knowing what the other is doing. Go figure.
