I have a 78 F150 Ranger Lariat- 4WD- disc front/drum rear. My son and I are rebuilding the truck and overhauling the complete brake system. I am in search of a Proportioning Valve, but have not had much luck finding a replacement. Some aftermarket stuff, but with little description to understand whether they would be a good replacement or not. I research here a little and found some posts from 2009 but most of the links no longer work or they no longer have parts.... Can anyone point me in the right direction please.
Now lets say a guy finds one off a 250 disk/drum? Would something like that work do to the fact the 250 caliper is double the size of the 150? Just wondering myself as I am getting ready to do something similar...go from all drum to disk/drum on the 250, and I love learning and I am hoping the brake gurus can teach us all a few tricks.
What about just going to Napa for a stock replacement?
Obsolete
I had to install part # HPV2F http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BRAKE...#ht_1064wt_939 works better than the oem and fits like the oem with no modification!!! Much better than the junk cast iron valve that was stock!!!
