Truck/engine recomendations
So by the end of this summer I am planning on buying a truck, hopefully as a daily driver. i do plan to lift it and swap gears maybe a little more havent decided yet. my question is, is there a certain truck/engine you guys would recommend. One of my friends has a 99 250 with a 5.4 triton 6" lift super swampers all sorts of fun stuff but only gets 7 miles a gallon. however another friend has a 250 with the turbo diesel, did a few tweaks and blew his transmission. id like to find a nice middle ground of speed with lift but less damaging to the truck/less expensive to repair. gas mileage would be nice too

Hello, I have a few questions. How much are you looking to spend including the mods? And other than being your daily driver what do you want to do with the truck? Tow? If so how much weight and how far? Do you want 2x4 or 4x4?
