transfer case

transfer case
i also have a transfer case problem. i can shift it between 2 high and 4 high but cannot shift into neutral or 4 low in the cab. but if i get under the truck and play with the linkage i can manually move it into neutral and 4 low. any suggestions?

Get under there and check and make sure nothing is too tight or loose, and with those cases it sometimes helps to push down while pulling back

yea it wont move even when i put the trans in neutral but when i get under the truck i can move it where i want it

I've heard of the pot metal linkage brackets cracking, you may want to look at them closely.

what truck and t-case?
there are two t-case shift patterns.
one is push down and pull back for neutral-low, the other is pull over to the driver side door and pull back

try the push over and pull back method. someone may have change the shifter after it broke.
