And on another note...

I was traveling up Rt29 the other day through my home town, in the right lane cruising along. Along comes some idiot in a 2000 volvo wagon in the left lane coming up along side me. We go around a bend to the right, and he, thinking he'd clear me, tries to merge into my lane. Well, the front of my truck colided with his back door. He continued to try and push right, so I gave the wheel a quick jerk to the left to push him back into his lane. Well I did just that, and away he went. Clear destroyed the passenger side of hte wagon fromt he rear door all the way back. And THEN the sonnofabitch went to drive off! I got behind him blaring my horn and flashing my lights and eventually he pulled over. Now, no offence to the old and senile, but stay the hell off the road if you do not know what in the hell you are doing. Police were there in seconds, there's quite a few accidents on that strip. Guy was completely clueless. His car was totaled. I checked my damage, rubbed his paint off my one tire and front fender. zero damage over all.

Pay the hell attention out there.

The Smartcar looks like it has Virginia license plates on it.

Wherever it took place...... if this is the crash I am thinking about, the driver is still in the car when this picture was taken. He was killed instantly, there was no rush to extricate him quickly. The rest of the pictures were absolutely grotesque.

edit............

Anybody really interested in seeing the BAD picturees, they are here. Be forewarned, they are horrific.

Scroll down the page to where the photographer calls the car a VW.

Not a total loss, the rear bumper is still good. I can't image what would go through your mind a few seconds before you hit.

I would be thinking, boy that truck is allot bigger then the car I am in. I don't think that truck is going to give much on impact.

Next time just slow down a little and "tap" him right at the rear wheel/axle and perform the "Pit" maneuver and really send him "spinning" off...

Glad you are okay...not so sure about the "smart" guy in that car above...

Haha, that's a hell of a way to put it.

They did. See the back of the car? The front of it is only 4 inches away.

Not to make light of a horrible situation, but the truck looks to be on the correct side of the road.
