I have a 2000 5.4 4x4 EXP with air shocks on all 4 wheels. I have replaced the real air bags and pump and all works well. My dumb question is do the front and/or the back have shocks that are separate from the air suspension. I was told the front air suspension are some items that look like a shock. They are not like the air bags that are in the rear.
The front two are air shocks and the ride height is adjusted with the compressor.
I replaced my fronts with two Monroe 40004 Specialty Shock Absorbers.
The rear two are normal shocks.
I used Monroe 37202 Sensa-Trac Light Truck Shock Absorbers.
I got them with Amazon Prime, no shipping and no tax made it the best deal at the time.
