Emblem alteration

I didn't like the round b20 look so I cut the top and bottom off. Worked ok except you can see a few cut lines on top. It's not enough to bother me though.

That's a cool idea. Did you take them off to cut them down?

I didn't really like the big round thing on my door so I took them off. Without the big "advertisement" on the door, I've had a few surprised passengers when they get in and realize it is a diesel. I love how quiet the 6.7 runs!

Should have put a scorpion in back of it..... Ebay has some scorpions, I like the big belt buckle Ford puts on the door. I would like to incorporate a scorpion somewhere around the buckle....

"Belt buckle" that's great Lake Dweller! I love it! Maybe that's what should do with the 2 emblems I've got.

How do you get the emblem off without damaging the paint?

I'm a body man for a living so I have some plastic pry tools that don't scratch the paint. I bet if you had a flat head screwdriver you could work the edges carefully without scratching anything. They come off pretty easy since they are new. If you wait a few years it will be harder.

I think you have done something very nice. Looks good, unique, understated. Those who "know" will instantly get it, those that don't won't even see it.

on other vehicles I have left them sitting out in the sun and then used fishing line to remove the badges.

I like Epic's idea better..... and the looks from my wife, wondering what I was up too with her hair dryer and the spatula going to go work on the truck, alone would be worth trying it.
