Rear Shock Options
Seems more a style of the time thing than the more effective traction bars or ladders that keep the leaf springs from winding up and releasing (the real cause)
Find a pix of a 428CJ Mach I rear , '69 or '70 for guidance on which side is in front, which behind. Would be consistent with the waycool 'fenders configuration though.
You guys of the morphing avatar subculture here on 48-60 remind me of a fine Talking Heads line....
'I've changed my hairstyle so many times now,,,I don't know what I look like"
Your response fell of the screen before I saw it. So you are saying the staggered shock trick was used on high perf applications? It's obvious that is what is required for me then

I ordered some Competition Engineering lower shock brackets thinking they would be much like my stock Ford lower brackets. (Which don't look like they will survive another R&R treatment). The new brackets arrived and they are much larger. They will get the shocks out away from the axle, and may allow me to get both shocks on the same side now.
