1986 TAILGATE LETTERS
Looking for a set of tailgate letters to fit my 1986 F-150. It has the tailgate panel with the red reflector in it. Anybody have some for sale or knows who does?

I do not know anyone who sells the tailgate letters you are looking for. Your best bet is going to be to check Ebay.
The chrome tailgate letters that are on the tailgate aluminum finish panel that you have were never sold separately from Ford. They were a part of the tailgate itself. The only other place I know of is going to be a junkyard, and that is not going to be easy because that particular tailgate finish panel was only used for the 1985 - 1986 "Lariat" models. And the 1985 - 1986 aluminum finish panel is not reproduced by anyone.

I haven't a clue. DC's rep Pat Ford attended the F100 Western Nats truck show June 25th...t'was where I got the catalog.
This is the first 1980/96 catalog I've had, so I dunno what was said in older versions.

Have you checked with Ford Truck Parts and Truck Accessories from LMCTruck.com I had a catalog from them a couple of years or so ago for the 87-96 F150s and I thought they had the chrome letters for the tailgate for the 87-96 models at least. . .
