I have the 1" kingpins (F350) if it matters. This kit was for a '79 F350 DRW
These two pieces are in my Moog kit (on the top of the box)
I also had 4x threaded caps, some shims, and two bushings.
So this isn't the shim, and it isn't the bushing that goes between the beam and the spindle.
It appears to be the exact same size as the bottom of the threaded caps. My gut is that it goes there, but I only have two, does it go on the top? On bottom? Am I totally wrong?
They are seals, they go on top between the I-beam arm and the spindle. According to the service manual, they are installed "metal backing towards bushing."

So this is recessed into the spindle, directly above the beam?
Yes I think so, the seals keep the grease inside to lubricate the brass bushings. But honestly I don't remember for sure, it's been probably 20 years since I did a king pin rebuild. But I do remember that I used all the parts in my Moog kit, in fact, I even needed more shims so I had to buy another kit just for the shims. Just look at how the original seal is installed from the factory.
