engine info

i have a 1994 powerstroke truck and i might be buying a 97 powerstroke truck just cause it dosnt need body work like my 94 dose and an inpection what i want to know is if i do up my 94 engine (400hp plus wise) will it drop right it. what i mean is is all the conections and stuff the same still the only diffrence between the trucks is the 94 is standerd and the 97 is auto.

Being that it is a 94 Powerstroke, and not a 94 IDI, it will bolt up without any modification concerns.

I'd keep the 97 engine myself. They were beefed up a bit.
