(the new screw is a excutive truck for me and after the lease is up im buying it for 19k in 2 years)
Did you figure out the discounted PERCENTAGE??
They have this SCAM running here in NJ .....
That '1' particular truck .. with vin #blah blah blah .....
You do the math and the MSRP is discounted 35% ....
That's right 35 PERCENT ... but there's a catch ....
the 35% includes 1,500 repeat lease discount and
400 college rebate (college fgrad within the last 2 years)
and 300 licensed contractor discount ....
So if you're leasing and you just graduated college and
you happen to be a licensed contractor then you can buy
a $19,000 for $12,997 .....
but even when you take out that $2,200 you're still
talking 28% off MSRP give or take .... so what you do
then is try to get the dealer to apply 'SIMILIAR SAVINGS'
to the sticker of the truck you want!!!!
This worked for me just LAST MONTH when I purchased
an 03' F-150 4x4 Std cab Long bed with a V8 and A/C
(not much more, no cruise, power brakes windows etc)
that had a sticker on the window of $24,815 for $20,000!!
Yes .. that's right .... $20,000 OUT THE DOOR ... which means
the actual price was down around 18 and change before
they added the 6% NJ tax and the title and tag transfer etc ...
So don't believe a word they when they tell you there's
not much room to work on the price of an 'F' series truck!!!
Happy Motoring ....

I saw those F's for sale in S. NJ when my sis was buying a daily driver. Those were great deals for a new truck!

Yeah man .... 35% off MSRP certainly will get your attention ...
and there were MULTIPLE DEALERS all over So. Jersey running
that same ad during that time ...
You just have to keep hammering away at those dealers
always focusing on THE PRICE .. not the monthly payment,
or your down payment or trade-in ... because they ALWAYS
try to 'cloud' the actual price you're paying by trying to
arrive at the monthly payment you want ....
My answer to that 'proverbial question':
"As close to '0' as possible" !!!.....
Tip of the day when buying a new vehicle:
Go EARLY in the day (9-10:00am) and TAKE YOUR TIME
examining the vehicle .. then sit with the dealer and
start talking price .. all the time knowing what you want
to pay .... then around lunchtime when the price is pretty
close, tell them you're going to have a few BEERS so that
you can think about it!!!
BELIEVE ME ... once you mention going for a few BEERS
the price will drop again ... because they are afraid that
once you leave you won't come back ....
and when you get to that all important question:
"What will it take to close this deal today" ......
Turn it on them and tell them to 'make you an offer ...
that you can't refuse'!!
You'll leave them speechless and put 'closing the deal'
in their court .... that way instead of putting them in a
positon to make your offer seem unreasonable ... you
can WALK AWAY with a clear conscience knowing that
they didn't offer you a sweet enough deal!!!!
