Well I took my atv out yesterday...a good hour drive in the truck to the riding spot. I really wanted a supercab with a 6.5 bed so that I could get the ATV in with the tailgate closed...BUT after I was able to change (with my small 6'2" skinny ***) in the back, comfortably, I am more than happy with the 5.5 crew-cab. Comparing this truck to my 04 is night and day. The ride home last night was such a treat after riding...smooth as silk, not to mention how quiet it is with the windows up. Powering up hills that my old truck struggled with was a blast. Although, I still can't get out of the 16.1-3 mpg range for some reason. I have to admit that the shifting is pleasant as well. My significant other has a Lexus rx350 and I really think this truck shifts better/smoother. As for the braking, this thing brakes awesome! Already had a couple near misses, but I feel confident with this setup...smooth and responsive...although, I tend not to mash on the brakes even under emergencies(habit learned from previous vehicles). The one thing I wish would come out for this is some apps!...more goodies to choose from in the info center to keep me occupied.
I love mine to! The 5.0L is mean! As is the Ecoboost!
And it climbs like a mountain goat. My inner child got the better of me the other day and I drove up a steep gravel hill to try out my 4X4 and locker...Didn't even slip a tire. And I couldn't see anything outta my windshield except sky!! All that power and all that capability with 20+mpg on the highway and 17+ around town...I think I'm in heaven.
Agreed! I absolutely love my driving my truck each and every time. It's the first vehicle I've had where I enjoy every aspect of it. I have the EcoBoost and I wouldn't trade that baby for any engine on the market. I think the only gripe I have is that my cloth seats in back are showing some wear from vacuuming it out a lot due to our dog. A good seat cover should take care of that.
I just got a new 2011 F150 4x4 XLT as a company truck and I love it as well. I was wondering though, I thought I read that for 2011, telescoping steering wheel and a 110 outlet in the console was standard and this has neither.

You only get a telescoping wheel if you have a floor shifter. I assume yours is a column shift, and I also assume that you need the center console to have the power outlet.
I just took delivery of a 2011 4X4 Platinum last week. I love it, but it is going to take me a few months to figure out all the gadgets...and I'm fairly technologically savvy. No complaints here.
