Question Truck is quitting now wont start

hey i need some help please my 01 f-350 with 7.3 started stalling out when i would put it in gear now it wont start acts like battery is dead but when i try to jump start the guages go nuts the speedometer will even jump upto 55 or so then right back down truck will not even turn over is it the computer check engine light is not on thanks for the time

First I would double check and clean all of your battery and ground connections and try it again..

I bet your batteries are DEAD dead.... take 'em out and have them load tested. (Wouldn't hurt to check the alternator, too.)

Fuses (ALL) checked good?
Oil Level good?
Fuel in fuel bowl?
Does your tach move when you crank it?

The batteries MUST be at a minimum of 10.4 volts WHILE cranking or it won't fire. If you are going to jump start it, let it site for quite some time before trying to start. Get as much juice as you can into the batteries.
