I dont want to start a "which ones better competition" over engine oils but I would like to hear what folks with tuned and emissions deleted trucks are using. Curious what brands and API designation (CI-4+ or CJ) are being run in the 6.4 and why.
I use the factory/Motorcraft oil and filter personally. Nothing wrong with using any other oil whatsoever as long as it has the proper specification, just personal preference is all. I'm gonna have some good intel to go off of here shortly with some Blackstone oil analysis reports and a big tow trip coming up that I'll be glad to share when the time comes.
I'm hoping that mine show likewise. I just have one baseline right now (pre-delete) and I'll have two more within the next month or so, one pre, one post 3K mile monster tow trip. Really looking forward to my 6.4's "report card"; Blackstone LOVED my 6.0 Excursion!
Pyro and Longview...can you tell me why you chose Rotella over something like Delo or Delvac? I think these three are the most widely used so im curious if it was price, availability, or something else that helped the T6 find its way into your engines
I'm still on my first oil change since delete, (shell T6 syn 5w-40). I'm due for a change got 10,xxx KM, I should send sample in!
Throw a Fumoto oil drain valve on there while you're at it, it's cheap and makes changing the oil and sampling super easy and eliminates 90%+ of the mess you make when the drain plug first comes off...
Your post-delete analysis looks just about identical to any of my stock analyses for the same 5k interval. Slightly higher iron on my reports is about it.

Did you have the same percentage of fuel in the oil, less than .5%?
If he still has a DPF i gurantee his fuel/oil dilution % is much higher. DPF+Higher back pressure+blow by=Oil dilution
And if the above formula equals "x", then x + EGR=faster engine and component failure
This may be the formula the Ford engineers forgot to solve.....maybe I should e-mail it to them. What yall think.....not too shabby for a country boy LOL
You are very lucky if the numbers are correct. I have seen at lest 12 different oil reports from 12 different 6.4 and the best was 2.5. That was with a new DPF. The numbers increased with the age of the DPF. If you check my oil report, you will see one at 4.5 then the next is 2.5. The first number is from a DPF with 50,000+ miles, and the second, 2.5 is with a new DPF. There is a pattern here.

Highest ever was 2% on an extra long 6,700 mile change that included more than 3,500 miles of heavy towing. I use M1 5W40-TD at nominal 5k intervals and Ford PM-22/23 additive at every fueling.

Can you post the oil report? Would like to compare metals etc.
