My custom intake

Hello all,

I made this custom intake today out of 4" PVC and a 4" rubber boot coupler. Enjoy.

The rubber boot was a little too big to properly clamp down on the neck of the intake pan. I had a rare moment of genius and cut off a 1.5" of 4" tube and used that as a spacer so the rubber boot would clamp securely. These are the moments that make up for all the stupid things I do.

Thanks fellas. I'm glad y'all think it came out well.

I have had a hell of a time with that IP and injector replacement. I still don't know what I did wrong in the first place; it just didn't seem to run right. I tested the timing meter with a 12V battery tonight and I finally got it to adjust to -20 degrees on the timing ****. Maybe my voltage last time wasn't quite perfect. Who knows. I still need that pulse adapter, then I should be good to go and set the timing.

What color should I paint the new intake? I am thinking either black or grey.

Does the Krylon stuff stick to the paint well? Will it put up with the engine bay temps?
