Death shake

When I brake, at least half the time the whole front end of my truck shakes (steering wheel, dash). I checked my brakes and they're fine. Does anyone know what this could be causing this?

If it only happens when you're braking, I would think your rotors are warped. The only other time I've heard of something like that happening was when I had a badly adjusted tie rod in my Jeep.

I'd start at the rotors. =)

Have you checked the runout of the rotors? By this I mean set a dial indicator on the caliper mount or knuckle (somewhere solid) and spin the rotor by hand to see how much deflection there is.
