replace tires and wheels
didn't realize it but taking 10 years to complete my 56 turns out my tires aren't worth a dam. I guess the atmosphere ruins the tires. Have about 1,000 miles and need to replace them. Tires say 235/60x15 and 275/60x15 on them (whatever that means) Want to get Stainless or may Al wheels because it is stored in a garage that needs a new floor and does get damp (my current chrome have rusted). Any suggestion or picture of what you guys have used would be appreciated. I guess it I had to do it all over again I would have made good tires my last purchase abut they really khave fallen cracked just sitting around. Have always appreciated this site.

Yes, rubber dry rots and gets 'ozoned' out (it loses elasticity) over time.
If you have a damp storage garage, I would expect that rusty wheels are the least of your issues - are your brake lines holding up OK?
