I have been a Tahoe / Suburban guy for many years. I always wanted an Excursion, but was terrified by the assumed low MPG's. I wanted to possibly go with the diesel, but got scared with possible high maintenance $. Plus, I don't know much about diesels and like being able to do some work myself. I bought a 2005 limited, V10. WOW! This thing is, by far, the best SUV I have ever owned. It was well taken care of and fairly low miles (76,000). It will be in my driveway for....well EVER! I love it. I now wish I had not procrastinated so long.
Anyway, just thought I would join in and get acquainted.
