It's not hard work but it could take a whole day to complete depending how friendly you are with tools. You need a hoist obviously and a selection of sockets and extensions, you will have to drain the coolant and remove the rad, remove the upper intake and disconnect all the wiring and cables, disconnect the transmission and torque converter, and also disconnect the exhaust which could be the hardest part because of corroded bolts. I'd also suggest removing the accessories and brackets from the front of the motor, and then with the engine mounts disconnected it's relatively easy to pull the motor off the trans and hoist it out of the engine bay.
