I hate to bake

This is why I hate baking. Going on eleven o clock and I still have to cook two more batches of cookies. And I can't afford to lose another cookie like I did this one. Lol I guess I got a little angry it is taking so long to bake two dozen cookies.

I was a professional Coast Guard cook but forte was baking. I taught many a young sailor how to bake over my 24 years and the rewards from being a good baker are endless.

As for the broken cookies or cracked cakes, timely consumption of such rejects with a cold glass of milk is highly recommended.

Baking is the easiest thing in the world!!

"Honey, can you make some cookies?" Done. How much easier could it be?

Rule#1: There are no bad cookies
Rule#2: If any cookie is suspect present it to the nearest QA Inspector
Rule#3: QA Inspectors can usually be found wagging their tails at your feet while you putter around the kitchen
Rule#4: If a certified QA (IE: MUTT) won't eat it - then you got problems

I love to cook, baking has never been enjoyable for me. I don't like having to follow directions. Cooking I do whatever I want and it still comes out good.

Lol I never had any luck with doing my own thing in baking. I just admit that I have to follow the directions exactly and that I hate every minute of it . though I do enjoy the sweets.

Over time it all works out the same.... don't rush things, let everything just roll along smooth. Save the excitment and upset for something that needs it later. Enjoy the cookies

My favorite cookies require no baking----those no-bake, chocolate/peanut butter/oatmeal thingies. Simply love those!
