Climate control

Stuck on defrost mode. Turn the **** to feet or max ac and still stays on the windshield defrost and wont switch. Hot and cold work its just where the air cones out of. Any ideas

you have vacuum leak. if you truck is 4x4 it wont work on auto. i would check the lines to the 4x4 hubs

He means if you have a 4x4 with auto locking hubs, the chances are, it won't work either. Check you vacuum pump, should run for about 10-15 seconds after key on. then start looking for a leak.

I had auto hubs the previous owner changed them to warn locking hubs. I checked both swheelwells and the vaccum connections looked good. Where else are there vaccum lines that i can check

Turn the key on and go to the right front fender and pull one of the vacuum hoses off and listen for the vacuum pump to run. Then put the hose back on and it should stop running in a couple of minutes. If it does not run, the pump is bad. If it does not stop or cycles on and off, you have a vacuum leak somewhere, Just my .02 Jim

If leak is suspected, a prime spot is the valving behind the glove box.

Open box, squeeze sides into middle and remove box. Check all those lines in there where they connect.
