I got a school bus with a cummins 12valve and eaton 6 speed.
will it fit under the hood of a 2000 superduty without getting all the accessories off a dodge?? I know the fan is too big but i think i should be able to adopt the powersteering and all that probably going to have to make custom intercooler, coolant hoses and engine mounts....
oil pan?
turbo?
the eaton doesn't look much bigger than the zf6 but i think it uses cable for clutch??
cummins oil pan pattern is symetrical.flip front sump to rear just buy gasket, pickup for rear application.get the cummins p# that is stamped inside pan and cummins can fix u up with pickup with that info.
if the engine has the motor mounts on either side of bell and one up front mounts will have to be fabbed.I would think turbo would be no prob other than routing if like mine then over bell rather than down and under because starter in the way and turbo moved rearward vs dodge truck.
Finishing up my conversion. Use a third gen manifold to clear the heater box. The Cummins fits nicely with plenty of room. I installed the ZF6 in my Ex. Tunnel very different from auto to manual.
