that would be cool also and Id love to see one with a turbo
A guy at work is buying a wrecked 90 or 91 Jag with a v12 for 3500. No idea what hes going to do with it but I think that engine would look damn nice in a rat rod.
Did you guys know those engines have 2 carbs?...in 90-91! I guess Ive never looked under the hood of one.

Two duratec 3.0s bolted end to end (Maybe not in 90.. but at some point that's what the jag v12s were.)
I have a C6 and a 4 speed(out of a 68 half ton ford) that I can use. If I use the manual I need to find a bellhousing and flywheel.
Also, I have a 8.8 for it, it has 2.73s in it, but I have 3.50s for it too. I'm leaning towards C6with 2.73s. It would make it cruise down the hwy good I'd think.
4 speed would be cool, but not a truck 4 speed, too clunky to be fun and 1st gear would be useless. c-6 and the 2.73 would probably be better and you'll be able to drive faster than 65 without revving the hell out of it.
I'd do a 4spd with a rat fink super tall shift handle.
If the trans is a 435 I'd go with the 2.73 gears so you can have some reasonable 65-70mph rpms. If its a C6 I'd go with 3.50s to help with the pretty low hp of a 351m/400.
idk, but it would have been nice to know that muncie 4 speeds have reverse as all the way over and up instead of the more common over and down pattern. had to back my dad's 55 chevy out of the garage when he sold it because he was at work. i ended up putting it in 4th and popping the clutch. hit the work bench, luckily no damage, but i still shat myself.
I could have a blast with a manual trans in there. Truck trans or not. Back in high school my bronco had a np435 in it, and I could shift fast enough to make people think it had a auto in it.
So anyone have a bb bellhousing? How bout a flywheel for a 351M/400?
any junkyards close to you dave? i'd imagine shipping on a b/h or flywheel would be killer high, and 4 speed 351/400 trucks are pretty common in yards, least they were before the scrape boom a while back.
p.s. pretty sure the only ford auto's with a removable bell are aods, and even they might be integral bells too, don't know much on them.
