Driver Door Lock Problem
98 Explorer 4 Door
The driver door handle has become so loose that the linkage does not travel properly. This causes the door to be unable to be unlocked at times. I've removed the door panel and it appears that there are two springs on the inside of the handle that are broke or msaligned. They are providing no tension. The linkage therefore doesn't get pulled up enough so that the actuator will unlock the door.
Does anyone have a procedure for replacing the door handle or a way to fix this loose linkage?
