nice find. the zf trans would be nice behind the straight 6. i had found a 97 f250 i am looking at that has a 460 with the zf 5spd, dents and dings and no rust that i see.. it only has 106,000 miles on it, i talked them down to $7,400 but it is high for the truck, cause the truck is being sold AS IS and i know the trans needs to be fixed,

Sorry, my mistake

Like previously stated, ONLY a zf-5 from a 4.9l, 5.0l and 5.8l will work (all small blocks)

zf-5 from a 460 or diesel will not work, considering its a big block, naturally.

Here's another Q: I didn't even check for sure but it looks like a short bed in the pics. Is a long bed a direct bolt-on or are the frames different?

No, that is a long box. No 'might be' about it.

Well, this is a real disappointment. The seller has reneged on me. Says he bought the truck from his nephew but the nephew never gave him the title and now refuses to. Ah, redneck family drama! So, the search begins anew. Guess I'd better change my avatar...
