Would an S code iron 4v intake advertised off of a 66 maurader be a decent replacement for a factory 2v intake on a mild build 390 in a '76 F100 4x4? I know they weigh a ton but if the preformance is fine vs alum I dont see paying the $200-300 for an aftermarket alum intake. Could I still run EGR on the iron S code? Thanks
That was the crankcase ventilation method before the PCV was implemented. Note also those manifolds have the oil fill/breather at the front, again left of the water intake.
As for the S code manifold, posts I've read here indicate it is a good manifold, other than the hernia factor in picking it up.
