I just bought a 65 f100 (352) and am looking forward to starting my first car project in a long time. Any suggestions on books/downloads for general parts info or service manuals etc.? The truck is very stock and I plan to keep it as close to original as possible.
Welcome, I would have to say that coming here was the best move you could have made. The folks here are wealth of knowledge and experience. I am new to this myself but found a mountain of information just exploring this site. Good luck with your project and read, read, and read some more
yea dude, i just recently joined a couple weeks ago and the guys on here are amazing. check out the general chat for some odd ball subject conversations. congrats on buying that truck. great peice of history you will be drivin around. as for manuals or anything, if you have any question just come on here start a topic and you get answers. for parts it depends. for engine parts i just run to the local auto store and buy em. and for reproduction or original parts for that truck i recommend lmctruck.com for accesory parts/mirrors/bumpers/grilles you name it they have it. good luck and enjoy, eh i dont even have to say that i can see you will love it.

Welcome to FTE
The 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog is available on a CD from hipoparts.com for 22 bucks.
faxonautolit.com has owners/shop manuals, sales brochures and etc.
Suggest you join FTE's WA Chapter. There are several members that own these trucks that post in this forum on a regular basis.
Having peeps close by with experience is always helpful. For example, FTE member camperspecial65 lives in the Sea-Tac area, scrounges all the PNW wrecking yards.
FTE sponsors that sell repro parts: AUTO KRAFTERS, BLUE OVAL TRUCK PARTS, CAROLINA CLASSICS, LMC, MAC'S ANTIQUE AUTO PARTS, MAR-K, NATIONAL PARTS DEPOT.
While not an FTE sponsor, DENNIS CARPENTER has more parts for these trucks than anyone, sells his repro parts not only to the general public, but other repro parts sellers as well.
Other sources are: THE TRUCK AND CAR SHOP, EARLY FORD STORE. Most of these sources have free catalogs that can be downloaded.
