Is this a normal process?

My truck came back from the shop the other day. It had the rear main, oil cooler and base plate gaskets changed. Cab came off to do this work. What transpired was that the throttle sensor needed replaced because is was throwing codes, worked OK when the truck went it. Crap happens!!
Now engine light is back on and the truck lost all sorts of power.
When this type of work is done, does the computer and the turbo need to be reset or reprogrammed? It has no power at the low end and I know it ran like a scalded dog when I took it to the shop.
I appreciate your comments

Someone fugged up or flashed your truck,no need to mess with the puter to replace gaskets or tps.

Need to find out what the code is. As for the turbo needing to be reset that is a correct statement if you have a 2003 and you can do it yourself if you wish. Run the truck to operating temperature (oil and coolant) shut it off disconnect both batteries and turn on lights. Wait 10 minutes, then turn off lights and reconnect batteries. Turn key on, wait 10 seconds, turn off, turn on wait 10 seconds, turn off turn on and start truck. Let the truck IDLE for 7 minutes, turn off. Restart truck and test drive. The adaptive turbo relearn is required any time the KAM is cleared for 2003 MY trucks.
