idm relay

idm relay
I have a 97 f250 with a 7.3L the idm relay goes out after about a hour of driving I pull it out wait about two min put it back in the truck fires up an is good again. Any thoughts

How did you determine it was the IDM relay? If it stalls and you pull the PCM relay instead and plug it back in a few minutes later, does that work too?

You can use the horn relay for a test , put it in place of the IDM relay ...

I have it done that is still does after I drive it for awhile

Sounds like its not the relay then.

Thanks for all ideas guys but can't try anything for two weeks will be gone for two so i think my wife is getting it towed to a shop tomorrow
