Ok i think my seals on my auto hubs are leaking my vac pump seems to run more than it used to and my AC blows from the defrost vents for a little while. My ? is can I block off the vac lines to the hubs ? I aways use the manuel lock on the hubs anyway, I'am old school rather get out and lock them myself that way i no there in. Has anyone done this and would it work. I can't see where it would hurt anything. What do y'all think.
Unplug the vacuum feed line from the solenoid on the passenger side firewall and plug it. Or follow that line back to the T at the vacuum canister and plug it there. That will isolate the solenoid, lines to the hubs and the hubs themselves from the rest of the system. See how things work then.
and FWIW all the seals in my hubs looked good 75000 dont know how many miles you have theres 2 there 1 I beleive you press on with the special tool and the yellow onethat goes on the bearing
the only bad one Iv seen is the one at the end of the axel right before it goes to the steering knucle and it has nothing to do with vac/hub lock
the vac/lines seam to be getting soft maybe one of your is leaking
