What Do You Want For Your V10?(SC,Turbo, H/C/I)
#46
Work is keeping me so busy I havent had a chance to run down and pick up the mock up motor yet. I tried to last weekend but "friends" are unreliable at beast.
#48
Im doing it in Wisconsin.
Sorry for the massive delay but I've been working alot of hours lately and took on another project for an Aftermarket Performance company.
If anyone wants to try a prototype H/C/I package, please PM me. It'll cost about 5K installed(Ill do the install myself) and it will require a tune as well.

Main reason I ask is, i hope you're aware of the spark plug problems the early 3v heads have. I'm hoping that spark plug hole gets redesigned so that it can use regular normal plugs...

Question about the heads, you asked for a set of 3v heads, are they based on stock heads and ported/polished? Or are you just using them as reference and coming up with a whole new design?

For just SC setup it'll run in at 4K shipped to your door.
I literally have about 6 projects in the works at this time. So it would take about 4-6 weeks to get it built and shipped. I could do it quicker if you absolutely needed it.

Please don't let this project die! I want these parts BAD! I hope your H/C/I can be had in an extreme application, not just towing....
Last year my winter job didn't line up and I was forced to sell my Kenne Bell. It broke my heart but paid my bills for a month.
Now I'm working a year round job and started on my truck again.
Here's a hint:
My tire/wheel combo sitting next to my DD PSD....

From what I know Comp doesnt do V10 cams anymore but if you want a set of custom grinds then let me know and I can get one made for you.

At this rate it will be 6+ months but it may not take that long. Its just technically out there and not something you can turn out in short order.

Specs as follows:
2003 F350 Single Cab V10
Hedman Headers with Y-Pipe
Snorkel Intake
4R100
Rockwell Axles - 6.72 Gears
52" Ag Tires
Approx. 7000 lbs.
Most wheeling done in low range first or second gear at mid to high RPMs. I have a 125 shot laying around that I would like to add this summer as well.

I'll make some phone calls and see what I can do on a set of cams.

Strictly trail truck. I'll have to double check my RPM range. Just out of curiosity is crower building your cams?
#59
Do you want to replace the stock springs and retainers as well? It will allow me to go higher with the lift and duration.
#60
Yes to changing springs and retainers. I mainly use 3000 to 5000 RPM. A good peak point would be 4000. It's a not a mud racer, nasty mud trails and hills for the most part, I would rather have more power at higher RPMS though.
