Column Shift **** is Finally On!!

Ive been trying to figure out a way to swap out my automatic shift **** on my 1999 SD. Because of the overdrive button, its been a real hassle, and i actually relocated the OD button entirely from the steering column, but i finally got her together! Please comment and feel free to ask any questions!

Nicely done David. I really like that ****. Neither pic does it justice. The only think I'd change is maybe paint the shifter to match the ****. And probably make the shifter shorter. But the height thing is just me lol

Thats the difference between the new style guys (us) and the guys who like the old trucks! We like those things listed above, but for the guys with older trucks, they despise them! To each his own I guess.

Hahaha you should have seen it the other day. It wouldnt go into park because the mirror was in the way! He had to cut it hahaa.

But I gotta give him props where props are deserved. That shifter is way better than the old one, plus he made it himself so extra points for that.

Well i do not have a picture at the time, but i can post one in the future. I put it right on the left side of the steering column on the bottom of the top trim bezel. For some reason, there was already a hole there when i got the truck, so i decided to make use of the hole. I just got the new bezel from the end of the shift **** from the factory (the one that i destroyed in the process of swaping out the shift ****) and i plan to put it in this weekend, ill upload pics asap!

Thanks for replying!

Nice job, I just swapped my shifter yesterday for a working O/D button. Maybe I will modify the broken one!

Thanks! Here is the hole next to the steering column that I planned on putting that "remanufactured" over drive button in
