I just finished watching a re-run of Two Guys Garage on SPEED. They put some kind of "Counter Act" thing on this truck that sends electric pulses through the truck and its suppose to keep it from rusting. Does that thing really work?? I'd like to put one on my Mustang, but if it doesn't work I'll forget about it. Thanks.
These things work IN THEORY, but I've never seen one work in real practice. In fact, the New York State Attorney General obtained refunds for customers for almost every one of them sold here in the early 90's. My advice: save your money.
For many years, the Navy and other salt water puddle pirates have welded zinc bars on the hull as a sacrificial anode.
The thought is, in galvanic corrosion, two dissimilar metals electrically connected, the anode will deplete to save the cathode when placed in a corrosive environment.
They have gone to the small current system (platinum anode) which does the same thing. here is one site.
